Calculator inputs

Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. Computationally heavier tools use a background browser worker, so those calculations also stay on your device. The application does not include a database or user accounts. Exchange-rate requests are described below.

Saved calculations and browser storage

If you select Save, the calculator inputs and result snapshot are stored in this browser’s local storage on this device. We do not sync saved calculations to an account. You can delete a saved calculation from its calculator page or clear this site’s browser storage to remove all local saves.

Share copies a link that includes your entered calculator values in the URL fragment. Anyone with that complete link can see and reopen those values, so avoid sharing confidential information. URL fragments are not sent to our server as part of a normal page request, but software you use to copy, store, or forward the link may retain it. Copy, print, and download actions use your browser and device.

Passwords

Passwords generated by the Password Generator stay on your device and are never generated or sent by the server. If you choose to remember generator settings, those preferences—not generated passwords—are stored in your browser’s local storage.

Exchange-rate data

The Currency Calculator requests current public exchange-rate data through our server. The request identifies currency codes, not your identity or financial account information.

Analytics, advertising, and hosting

CalculatorBuddy uses Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics may use cookies and process page URLs, browser and device information, and interaction data. See Google’s privacy policy for information about how Google handles data.

Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, URL, timestamps, and diagnostic logs to deliver and secure the service.

Your choices

You can clear locally saved data through your browser. Avoid entering confidential personal, medical, or financial identifiers into general-purpose calculators. See our methodology and about page for more information about the service. For privacy questions, contact us.
